Dustin David Salon’s Passionately Pink Event, held October 18th, was a huge success. We would like to also thank those from our team that volunteered their time on their day off to help support this cause.  It was such a successful and fun event.  We can’t wait to do it again.

We raised $6,150 from the Oct 18 event and from donations from all of our generous and fabulous clients all month long! We have donated the money to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Dustin and Linda feel that the continued education and development of their stylists is one of the most important tenets of top quality haircare. In addition to the weekly training they provide the team, they also invest in on-going off-site training to make sure that we can all provide our clients with the newest treatments and up and coming styles year to year.  Here’s a recap of where our stylists have attended so far this year:

January 09

- Dustin David Salon hosted own Goldwell Color Class, kick-starting the new year with some new colors to transition the old into the new!

- Heidi Clark and Dustin David attended an advanced Liscio Thermal Reconditioning Class, introducing  into our salon a new cream for a gentler Thermal Reconditioning!

March 09

- Jennifer Chan, Abby Lavin and Ashley Weiss attended Vidal Sassoon Academy, and came back with some amazing new skills!  Go girls!

June 09

June was a busy month for both Dustin and Linda, who attended an advanced haircutting course at Bumble and Bumble University in New York.  Linda also made a trip to Santa Monica to attend a haircutting course at Vidal Sassoon Academy, and came back with some amazing color and cut techniques from Goldwell Academy, also in Santa Monica.

Silvia Freitas and Heidi Clark went to a Keratin Smoothing Treatment Course, and successfully introduced this new amazing treatment for our salon.  Its our most popular anti-frizz treatment yet!  The results will leave you speechless!

August 09

Two of our up and coming Junior Stylists, Teresa Hughes and Mary Tran, both attended Vidal Sassoon Academy in San Francisco.  Linda made her second trip to Bumble New York  this year, for their highly-acclaimed Curl Workshop, as well as attending Goldwell Academy once again, bring back some amazing color formulations for the season’s new styles!  Say “bye bye” to those chunky hilites; Linda knows the tricks of the trade to warm up your look, and keep that “brass” from coming back!

Linda and  Abby Lavin attended the Goldwell Academy again,  coming back with some “Fierce Formulations”!  They are so excited to work on brilliant reds and warm blondes!  Come and get it while it’s hot!

This month of October, we are so excited to introduce yet another type of straightening treatment called Bio Ionic Kerasmooth Treatment.

Also, Dustin David Salon will feature HAIRLOCS this winter!!!! After researching other natural hair extensions, we have decided to introduce this amazing extension that allows longer wear than your traditional Great Length extensions, with just some minor in-salon maintenance, called “pushing them up”.  Call our salon for more information!
